The health center of Mula will offer as of June the gynecological consultation service to serve a population of 10,000 women older than 15 years of the municipalities of the region of the Mula River.
A specialist of the staff of the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital will perform this gynecological assistance once a week, which will prevent the women of Mula, Albudeite, Campos del Río and Pliego from traveling to other parts of the Region to be attended.
This center will be provided with material and equipment necessary to carry out the subprograms of the Program of Integral Attention to Women (PIAM), such as the prevention of gynecological cancer, attention to the climacteric, and information and monitoring of contraceptive methods.
The Maternofetal Unit of the Arrixaca Hospital will continue to provide obstetric care for pregnant women.
