With this initiative, the PSOE urges the National Executive to consider this case and drive all actions are in hand to ensure the protection and conservation of this fortress dating from the sixteenth century.

Also, the Socialists are asking the government that these actions are coordinated with the City of Mula and the Autonomous Community as well as other competent authorities, or listen to associations involved, as is the case of "Mula by its Castle" platform.

For Gonzalez Veracruz it is necessary that "the characteristics are met and the current state of the Castle of Velez for inclusion in future National Plans of Cultural Heritage".

This monument, declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) is one of the emblematic elements of the municipality of Mula and represents a symbol crown and chairs from the top of the town.
