The Holy Throne of Mula is already exhibited in the Royal Monastery of the Incarnation of Mula. The president of the Community has attended the act of blessing of the chapel that houses the reliquary and that will be a further attraction for the Jubi (16/12/2016)

The President of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, attended today the blessing ceremony by the bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, José Manuel Lorca Planes, of the chapel that houses the reliquary of the Holy Thorn in the Royal Monastery of Our Lady of The Incarnation of Mule.

The relic of the Santa Espina is exhibited in this chapel adequate and restored with the collaboration of the Historical Heritage Service of the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía, the Municipality of Mula and the Community of Poor Clares.

The event was also attended by the mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, the government delegate, Antonio Sánchez Solís, and the Minister of Culture and spokesman of the regional government, Noelia Arroyo, among other authorities

The relic of the Holy Spine is a new element that is added to this Monastery declared to be of Cultural Interest and will give greater emphasis to its function as a place of religious worship.

It will also become a further attraction on the pilgrimage route to Caravaca de la Cruz on the occasion of the Jubilee Year.

The bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, José Manuel Lorca Planes, confirmed last July that the relic found in the Royal Monastery of the Incarnation of Mula is authentic and belonged to the crown of thorns that Jesus Christ led, according to research Made on the basis of testimonies found in documents of Cardinal Belluga and other bishops.
