The photo exhibition 'Con Genio' on the master's projects UCAM-Fotogenio arrives at Casa Pintada de Mula (14/04/2017)

The exhibition 'Con Genio', produced with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía and integrated by the final projects of the Professional Master's Degree in Technical Photography and UCAM-Fotogenio Expression, can be visited until next June 18 at the Casa Pintada- Cristóbal Gabarrón Museum of Mula.

The exhibition, which began at the Regional Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena (Muram), is organized by the Casa Pintada de Mula Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía, as well as by the City Council of Mazarrón and the UCAM.

'With Genius' has also been seen already in the Municipal Museum of Archena and in the House Museum of the Orchard Ruano de Lorca.

Through these samples, "more than 4,000 visitors have already been able to enjoy the varied work of the 25 selected photographers," explained the director general of Cultural Property, Maria Comas, for whom this exhibition "is a commitment to the creation and The talent of new professionals who offer a current look at different aspects of this discipline of contemporary art such as photojournalism, social reporting, travel, landscapes or portraits.

Each of the participating authors presents a 40 x 60 cm work of an 'artist's book', in which the project is recorded with a score of images.

These are 25 transversal visions, with diverse thematic proposals, both of authors with a wide professional trajectory and of photographers of recent generations.

Some of them come from the Region of Murcia, and others are authors from Almería, Albacete, Alicante, Ciudad Real and Ibiza, "which certainly gives an idea of ​​the continuous renewal and evolution of contemporary Spanish photography," Comas added.

The authors of the works are María Alcolea, Cristina Alonso, Juana María Calín, Pepa Cobo, Antonio Luis del Amor, Servando García de la Rubia, Mónica Gómez, Francisco José Jiménez, Germán Lama, Pedro José López, Pedro José Madrid, José Antonio Martínez, Luis Marino, Pascual Méndez, Montse Moreno, Sonia Muñoz, Mariano Pelegrín, Eva María Romera, Abel F. Ros, José A. Rosa, Pablo Sánchez del Valle, María Dolores Sánchez (Solete Slow Photo), Irene Soriano, Luis Miguel Vivas and Raquel Zapata.

The exhibition is curated by Juan García Sandoval, responsible for Muram programming and the mentor of the projects has been Mónica Lozano.

The direction of the Master in Photography UCAM-Photogenio corresponds to Juan Sánchez Calventus, Félix Galindo and Blas Subiela.
