The Department of Education and Health organized a conference on healthy eating in childhood and youth (29/11/2010)

Lack of exercise, learn to make healthier choices or analysis of the causes and consequences of obesity will focus their discussions

29.11.1910 From November 26 until next Friday, is taking place in Mula a conference on healthy eating in childhood and youth organized by the departments of Education and Health Mula City Council through the Ministry of Health and Consumer General Directorate of Public Health.

The conference will feature a series of lectures by the degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Higher Degree in Food Technology and Fellow at the University of Murcia, Maravillas Pérez April and held in various schools in the municipality.

The aim of these talks is to discuss the causes and consequences of childhood obesity in the Region of Murcia; analyze healthy and unhealthy habits of children, learning to develop healthy menus from breakfast to dinner, to analyze the causes of physical inactivity children (TV, video games ...) address the importance of exercise in childhood, and make suggestions for eating and healthy living.

In Spain there has been, in recent years a dramatic growth in childhood obesity, from 5 to 16 percent in the last 15 years.

The talks, aimed primarily responsible parents and infant are celebrated on November 30 in the school Santa Clara on Dec. 1 in Anita Arnao, Dec. 2 in Santo Domingo San Miguel and 3 December at the Ortega and Rubio de La Puebla de Mula at 09:00 hours.

At Our Lady Of Rosadio Source Espuña Librilla and New Homes, talks will be held at 16:00 on 2 and 3 December respectively.

The first talks that have been offered in Christ Crucified and the College of the Immaculate Yéchar have enjoyed wide participation.
