31/01/1911 About a hundred people have visited the Roman site of Los Villares de Mula in its first month open to the public after it was inaugurated on 28 December.
Guided tours are set by appointment at the Tourist Office in the town over the phone 968 661 501, e turismo@aytomula.es or at the office located in the Artisan's House (Calle Páez).
Roman villa have visited this people arriving from Madrid, Murcia, Alguazas, Bullas, La Union and Lorca, Mula citizens as well.
Responsible for the Tourist Office are responsible for guiding visitors through the remains recovered from the Roman settlement was established in Mula between I and V AD
The Roman villa, one of the most important archaeological exponents are in the county, due to the good state of preservation of the remains found, consists of two parts: the residential area with a thermal area and domestic spaces around a central courtyard, and the work area with a mill in the obtaining, processing and storage of oil or wine.
Once you have left the town, the residential area became a place of worship with the transformation of two rooms in a building of basilica where many burials have been documented.
In addition, guidelines are being finalized for school teaching and in the coming days will begin activities with these groups.
