The municipal plenary agrees to take various measures against damage from the hail storm on Saturday (09/05/2011)

The Full Council of Mula met this extraordinary half-day to discuss urgent measures to be taken before the fall of hail in the Mula May 7 causing serious damage to agriculture in the municipality.

The Plenum of the corporation, with unanimity of all political groups agreed:

1 .- To request the State to grant tax benefits with respect to IBIRU for citizens affected by the hail storm last May 7.

2 .- To request the State to grant tax breaks on personal income (modules) for the affected-

3 .- To urge the ENESA (National Agency of Agricultural Insurance) so that, through Agroseguro companies, start-off assessments to homeowners distressed and start the payment of such aid, introducing the necessary improvements in crop insurance almond the object of widespread among farmers contracting this type of insurance.

4 .- CARM request the speed in terms of expert opinion reports of damage, in order that families can recover as soon as possible.

5 .- CARM request the implementation of appropriate representations through an agreement with lenders to grant credit lines to alleviate the damage caused to farmers and agricultural cooperatives Mula.

6 .- CARM request the making available to farmers through agricultural cooperatives, plant protection products suitable to proceed to the necessary treatment to the damaged trees.

7 .- CARM request the development and financing of a special plan to mitigate the damage to infrastructure and municipal properties reflected in the report prepared by the municipal technical services is annexed to this agreement.

8 .- To request the State and the CARM taking all appropriate steps to alleviate the damage caused by rain last Saturday, including those produced as a result of the loss of jobs in the garden.

9 .- Make available to the authorities to seek help to technical and legal means the City of Mula.
