The Iberian Art Museum 'The Cigarralejo' Mula hosts the conference 'Expression of the disease in art', given by Doctor in Medicine and Surgery Bernardino Navarro, dealing with how they have reflected the various human diseases Friday throughout history in art.
In his dissertation, Dr. Navarro deal with reflections and research that has been conducted throughout his career and that are linked to different cultural and artistic events, from the Renaissance to the present, in such diverse media as painting , sculpture, novels, theater and visual media.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, said that "the interest of the subject treated is reflected in how artists, over time, show the cruelty and suffering of disease in humans and represent it in their works ".
The conference is organized by the Friends of the Museum of Iberian 'The Cigarralejo', Art and will take place in the hall of the museum tomorrow Friday from 20:00.
Admission is free until all seats.
