The Governing Council has declared the House Painted Mule as a Cultural (BIC) with the rank of monument.
It is located on Calle San Francisco de Mula, favorite place for the nobility of the town to his residence, and was built in late 1770.
The structure repeats the pattern of usual baroque palace in the Region of Murcia.
It consists of a basement with windows closed by gates, first floor with balconies and a skylight tower with windows on all four corners.
The decoration of the facade is secular, not a religious references, but some angels in various positions in the area of heraldry, symbolizing the divine protection of the lineage.
The ground floor has a baroque facade of marble and incised decoration mural that appears in one scene depicting a deer hunting in the forest.
This theme symbolizes the virtues of falconry to the gentleman, widely used in paintings, prints and ceramics of the period.
The town of Mula now has seven monuments and three sets of rock art declared of cultural interest as well as the archaeological site of Cerro de la Almagra, the protective environment of the Castillo de Alcalá and the historical site of the municipality.
