The Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, part tomorrow in Mula (at 10:30 pm in the Salons The Carrasquilla, Paraje La Carrasquilla, UR5, on the old road of Tender), at a conference to give information to ascertain the nature of the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013, which sets guidelines for aid and investment to be allocated to the region.
These days, addressed mainly to irrigation communities and businesses of processing and marketing of agricultural food products, have been organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in cooperation with agricultural organizations and financial institutions and Cajamar Cajamurcia.
The purpose is to expose the opportunities offered by this program to professionals as well as its objectives and requirements and explain the main lines of action aimed at increasing the competitiveness of agriculture and forestry.
On the other hand also aims to improve the environment and the countryside and promote quality of life in rural areas.
These actions were based primarily on the improvement of irrigation infrastructure as well as the rural road network, will enable significant savings and improved water quality and facilitate access to farms, respectively.
These latest actions intended to promote communication in the rural environment and thereby contribute to economic development.
The Community for this year more than 80 million euros, financed by the EAFRD European Agricultural Fund to promote sustainable development and improve quality levels in rural areas.
