Mula receives 4.7 million euros of state funds
The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, with the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes Diaz, this morning visited the slope protection works on the streets in Santo Domingo Palera and Mula.
This is one of seven works that the City Council has submitted to the State Funds, 2009 and 2010 to reduce the risks of landslides in various parts of the municipality.
These projects involve a total investment of 330,000 euros and create 34 direct jobs.
Specifically, in 2009 the Government of Spain has financed three projects EUR 120,000 anti-chipping of the Barrios Altos de Mula and Puntarrón Quarter, in which masonry walls have been built on slopes to prevent rock falls in these areas at the foot of the Castillo de Mula.
Were also carried out various works for the maintenance of roads and platforms to improve access to housing.
Moreover, the delegate also explained that for the same purpose, the City of Mula has been authorized to award four works, financed by the Government of Spain in charge of this year's E Plan for the adequacy, reforestation and protection slope in areas of the Altos de Santo Domingo, Fuensanta Fuensoriana and the streets of Santo Domingo Palera and have visited this morning.
These works will invest 210,000 euros and is expected to create at least 16 new jobs.

The Government delegate also pointed out that between the State Fund of 2009 and the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability, 2010, the City of Mula Spain receives from the Government of EUR 4,765,000 to be funded with a total of 43 construction projects are creating over 330 direct jobs and a project that ensures the financing of social spending programs of the municipality.
