The mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, members of the municipal corporation, and the Chief of Police Local Mula, Fidel Bedia, today unveiled the new Canine Unit service that offers this security line modernization and innovation undertaken by the City of Mula.
This unit consists of a dog, German shepherd, trained in narcotics detection as well as in defense and attack.
The mission of this new unit, which will be operational shortly, will consist of preventive patrols near schools in order to detect the possible presence of narcotics in these centers people loitering during school hours.
It will also be present in those preventive services to identify people and vehicles that are established to ensure public safety.
Local Police Mula has performed over the past year, a total of 43 seizures of drugs, highlighting the involvement of a stash of 338 grams of cocaine and another 113 units of psychotropic drugs.
In addition, it has also introduced a new service motor, consisting of two motorcycles, BMW, F650GS, which will serve mainly to isolated hamlets and population centers, since the versatility of the new motorcycles and special features make them suitable for these movements.
