Congratulations to Esther Pina, First Prize of the XVII Business Projects Contest of the City of Murcia (14/11/2019)

From the Department of Education of the City of Mula we want to show our most sincere congratulations to the woman from Esther Pina, student of 4th Audiovisual Communication at the University of Murcia, who has won the First Prize of the XVII Business Projects Contest of the City of Murcia and the Center for Municipal Initiatives (CIM) with the “Secret Sound†project.

With this first prize, Esther receives a grant of € 15,000 and a training grant of € 3,600 for the Enae Business School, which is an important boost that will facilitate the development and execution of said project in the coming months.

Secret Sound consists of a company that generates completely accessible and inclusive music content and experiences for people with hearing and language problems.

At the time of carrying out the project, Esther has had the Association of Parents of Children with Hearing and Language Problems in the Region of Murcia (ASPANPAL).

Together with his new collaborator, María José Iniesta, graduated from the University of Murcia, he seeks to launch the first festival of inclusive music of these characteristics in the Region of Murcia (in March 2020 at the Circus Theater) with a view to implementing it at the national level.

For this, this event will feature the magnetic loop technology for the cochlear implant, sign language interpreters, the lyrics of the subtitled songs and a vibration system that achieves a different, inclusive and enveloping musical experience for everyone .

The Festival already has the involvement of artists from different countries such as Germany (Berlin) or Portugal, as well as different dance groups from all over Spain.

But this is not all, Secret Sound has also been awarded the Special Prize of the II Awards, City, Creativity, Culture and Entrepreneurship, with a grant of € 4,000.

Currently, the project is hosted in Factoría Cultural, the coworking specialized in cultural and creative industries, with a residency grant.

In the next few days, Esther Pina will travel to Finland together with the School of Industrial Organization to continue developing her project.

The Councilor for Education, Diego J. Boluda, has contacted the award-winning Muleña to express and convey the congratulations from the entire City of Mula.

Double congratulation, since it is the first time in the history of these awards that two prizes are won in the same call and, at the same time, Esther has been the youngest student to achieve it.

This news shows, once again, that we are facing the best prepared generation of our history and, therefore, it is necessary that all administrations;

local, regional and national, contribute and foster an optimal and profitable academic life.

We must be proud of the great capacity of our young students.
