The Mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, has held a meeting with Antonio Luengo, Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Environment of the Regional Government of the Autonomous Community.
Francisco J. Llamazares, Town Planning, Public Works, Agriculture, Livestock and Environment Councilor also attended.
At the meeting, the first mayor of Muleño has presented to Luengo the need to promote the processing of several strategic projects for the municipality of Mula, such as the Third Phase of the General Collectors of the City of Mula (West Area) between the Pliego road and the Caravaca highway, which would allow the waters of the El Badén ravine to be channeled, which periodically causes flood damage in various parts of the city.
This project would entail the extension and opening of adv.
from La Paz with four lanes (two in each direction) to the Caravaca road.
The construction of a storm tank and evacuation canal in the Arreaque Industrial Estate has also been considered, infrastructure that would solve the numerous damages caused by torrential rains in the area and help reduce the urbanization costs of the expansion of the polygon, allowing to create the necessary conditions for the implementation of new companies and thus unblock the situation of this industrial area.
Other projects that have also been put on the table during the meeting are the construction of new rain collectors in Ctra. De Pliego and Gran Vía, whose objective is to mitigate the flooding problems caused by heavy rain episodes.
On the other hand, the mayor has asked the counselor for more investments in the arrangement and maintenance of rural roads.
Since the municipality of Mula has an extensive network of rural roads that serve numerous neighbors, farmers and ranchers and there are many kilometers that are in poor condition.
For what he has asked the Ministry to resolve as soon as possible the call for aid for the arrangement of roads that have been pending for months.
The City Council of Mula awaits the arrangement of the roads of Prao Negro-Balate, La Herreña, Los Bernabeles and Cantincharia.
Finally, it has been requested to expedite the environmental procedures of the different modifications that are being made to the Municipal General Urban Planning Plan and that are vital to boost the activity of some economic sectors such as livestock and industrial.
