Given the dissemination of messages, photographs and audios that appeared in recent days, on social networks, related to the COVID-19 virus in the municipality of Mula, and due to the severity of the distribution of said content, from the Hon.
Mula City Council communicates the following.
That the only verified and reliable information is that provided by competent institutions and authorities that is regularly updated through official channels and local media.
That the making, dissemination or propagation of false news, hoaxes, images or falsification of documents constitutes a very serious crime, which can range from heavy administrative penalties to prison terms.
That to continue with this type of actions, detailed in advance, will be transferred to the relevant authorities to begin the necessary investigations on the dissemination on social networks and other messaging applications of this type of hoaxes and false news.
From the Hon.
Mula City Council again appeal to everyone's responsibility, not only with hygiene measures, social distancing and home confinement, but also by not disseminating hoaxes, photographs, or messages without contrast and without any type of veracity, from sources unofficial.
These attitudes can cause harm to people and further increase, if possible, the current state of alarm and uncertainty, consequently causing acts that are totally inadvisable at the present time.
