Mula City Council, Juan Jesús Moreno, has contacted the Government Delegate in the Murcia Region, José Vélez, for the purpose of the publication of Order HAC / 329/2020, of April 6, (BOE of April 9 and effective April 10), which reduces for the 2019 tax period the net return rates applicable in the objective estimation method of the Individual Income Tax for agricultural and livestock activities affected by various exceptional circumstances, which affects to all the farmers in the Municipality of Mula who are dedicated to the production of nuts, specifically, almond.The first local mayor has reported that the municipality of Mula was seriously affected by inclement weather (frost) that occurred in the months of March and April 2019, causing significant damage to the agricultural activity of almond cultivation.
Circumstance aggravated by the floods caused by DANAS that occurred in the months of September and December last year, events that were not taken into account in the first reports of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment of the CARM, so that the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Food, included the damages referred to in the aforementioned order, consequently preventing Muleño farmers from benefiting from its reduction.In this situation, the municipal council has taken the necessary steps with the Ministry to rectify this incident and to draw up conclusive reports for its imminent transfer to the corresponding ministerial bodies."I am aware that the Government Delegate is aware of this damage that Muleño farmers are suffering, added to the current economic and social circumstances in certain sectors, they will take the necessary steps with the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Food to the resolution of this anomaly for the benefit of our farmers.
