The Hon.
Mula City Council received, yesterday morning, a shipment of more than a thousand cleaning and hygiene products, donated by LINASA, a Murcian company specialized in cleaning products and which has launched a solidarity action in several municipalities in the Region of Murcia.
In coordination with the respective municipalities, the company has made a donation of more than 20,000 units of cleaning and disinfection products in Murcia, Molina de Segura, Mula, Alcantarilla, Archena, Las Torres de Cotillas and Alguazas.Industria Jabonera Lina, SAU (Linasa), is a family business whose main activity is the development and manufacture of products for household cleaning, laundry, and personal care.
Linasa, whose headquarters is located in Las Torres de Cotillas, is one of the main European companies in this sector and is playing a leading role in the fight against covid-19 due to its high production capacity for hydroalcoholic gel and for its solidarity actions.
.Aquilino Pérez Ibáńez, loved, respected and longed for by the residents of Mula, founded the LINASA company in the mid-1950s, named after the name of his sister, Catalina.
In 1975, it moved its headquarters from Alcantarilla to Las Torres de Cotillas; Today it has three production centers located in Murcia, Malaga and Algeria, about 500 employees and a turnover of around 92 million euros.Specifically, the products delivered are hydrogel, hand soap, disinfectant bleach, body gel, cleaning detergent and dishwasher.
These products, whose demand has increased during the pandemic, will go to families in vulnerable situations, to those most unfavorable sectors, and where this pandemic crisis is most affecting.Óscar Pérez Sánchez, CEO of Linasa, has been responsible for delivering to the Mayor, Juan Jesús Moreno García, this important and generous donation at the company's facilities.
"We have always attached great importance to social responsibility and we have always freed an annual financial contribution to offer society a part of what we generate, and we have been, when needed, with the whole of Murcian society, although that policy today it has been multiplied by ten.
We have already allocated several productions to the different hospitals in the cities of Murcia and Molina, in addition to providing help, beyond the hydrogel, to the most disadvantaged people.
These weeks we have received calls from many municipalities, as is the case of Mula, a municipality that is united by a special feeling, and that they cannot offer the service they were providing.
For this reason, we have considered it necessary to donate packages of cleaning and disinfection products in order to serve families with fewer resources, ”said the director of the soap company.Juan Jesús Moreno, municipal councilor, wanted to thank, publicly, LINSASA's exceptional gesture and treatment with the town of Mula, a company emotionally linked to our municipality, in memory of D.
Aquilino Pérez.
“We are experiencing an exceptional situation that is challenging for everyone.
These are times that require effort, responsibility and commitment.
The confinement of these days makes us value, even more if possible, the solidarity and generosity of Murcian companies such as LINASA, "said the Mayor of Mula, who attended this solidarity event with the Councilor for Health and Social Policy, Antonia Gabarrón.
