The Mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, and the Councilor for Municipal Services, Vicente López, have visited the heated pool accompanied by the Chief Engineer of the Technical Office, Pascual Salmerón, to check the status of the repair and set-up works of the facilities.
Work started a few weeks ago and is progressing apace.
They consist of repairing the elements damaged by the passage of time and vandalism, in addition to adapting the facilities to the new regulations in force.After more than 8 years in which the facility has remained closed, the Socialist Municipal Government committed itself to the citizens, in its electoral program, to reopen this service that is so much in demand by the residents of the municipality.
The first step to be able to do it is to fine-tune the different dependencies of the installation.The mayor has shown his satisfaction by checking the good pace of the work being carried out by the different operators.
"We hope that soon we can approve the specifications for the start-up of the reopening of the indoor swimming pool, a municipal service so demanded by our neighbors, also taking into account the circumstances in which we encountered the problem of the Covid-19.
We must be ambitious, but also responsible in a situation like the one we are experiencing, "said the municipal councilor.
