| New aid is established from the national government to improve competitiveness, innovation and digitization and training of the sector | The Department of Tourism of the City of Mula transfers to the companies of the tourism sector of the municipality of Mula the different aids that are being applied by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism for this sector, one of the most affected by the Covid pandemic- 19.Thus, the national government has made more than 25 million euros available to the tourism sector with the aim of cushioning the economic and social damage caused by the virus.
Together with this Shock Plan, it has been possible to implement specific plans such as tourism sustainability plans, aid for digitization (smart destinations) or the State Financial Fund for Tourist Competitiveness.In addition to the ICO Covid19 line of guarantees, the temporary extension of ERTE under special conditions, the extraordinary benefit for cessation of activity for the self-employed, a moratorium on mortgage debt and bonuses to Social Security contributions as well as the concepts of joint collection of Unemployment, Fogasa and Professional Training, the following measures have been established:Impetus Plan for the tourism sector with a set of 28 measures with an endowment of 4,262 million euros to regain confidence in Spain as a safe destination, improve its competitiveness, reactivate the sector, reinforce the tourism knowledge and intelligence model and deploy actions of marketing and promotion.This Impulse Plan contains measures in the field of training.
Within the Host Program, a specific course is created to train workers in compliance with health security measures.
Furthermore, the measures contained in an ambitious training plan with SEPE and FUNDAE are being implemented to re-qualify 70,000 professionals in the tourism sector.To improve competitiveness, the Impulse Plan has foreseen 859 million euros, distributed among the loans from the State Financial Fund for Tourist Competitiveness; financing for the digitization and innovation of the tourism sector; the reinforcement of the network of Smart Tourist Destinations, the 'Fair Hotels, Labor Responsible' program and the Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations program, endowed with 53 million euros until 2022.It is expected that a total of 260 tourist destinations will benefit from this program financed cooperatively by the General State Administration, the Autonomous Communities and local entities.
