Boluda Buendía, attended this morning, October 30, by videoconference to the II Ordinary General Assembly of the Association Network of cooperation "Roman Villas de Hispania ”at its registered office in Puente Genil (Córdoba) formed by the Roman Villas of Almenara-Puras (Valladolid), Arellano (Navarra), El Ruedo (Almedinilla, Córdoba), Fortunatus (Fraga, Huesca), Fuente Álamo (Puente Genil, Córdoba), La Olmeda (Palencia), La Loma del Regadío (Teruel), Veranes (Gijón) and Villaricos (Mula, Murcia).During the Assembly, the presidential report on the actions carried out after the holding of the previous Assembly was approved.
All of them aimed at promoting the Network through, for example, the publication of promotional material, such as the Archaeological Tourism Guide, "In itinere", the Archaeological Visiting Guide or the launch of the Traveler's Credential.
The active work of the Association has also been highlighted in its virtual communities of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or the launch of its website: www.villaromanas.orgThe Association is immersed in the elaboration of the Network's Tourism Strategy Plan that will mark its future in the short and medium term as a sustainable and innovative national archaeological tourism product.Finally, it is worth highlighting the approval of the inclusion as a new partner of the Salar City Council, manager of the Roman Villa of Salar, which is incorporated to collaborate in the promotion, dissemination and defense of this unique historical and cultural heritage represented by the Roman Villas of Hispania.
.Both the Mayor and the Councilor for Culture have expressed at the end of the Assembly the "commitment of the City Council with the cultural heritage and especially with one of the archaeological, cultural and tourist resources of the municipality", such as the Roman town of Villaricos, proof of these are the projects requested from the 1.5% Cultural and the Sierra Espuña Tourist Association, as well as the annual contribution to the archaeological research project of the University of Murcia, led by the professor of Ancient History, Rafael González Fernández.
