The Mula City Council will grant a zero quota for the water, garbage and sanitation rate for the two months of November and December for the hospitality and tourist services establishments of the municipality.This is one of the measures put in place by the council to alleviate the serious situation faced by bars, restaurants, cafes and tourist services after the closure of the sector was decreed.The measure, endorsed unanimously by all groups in the plenary session held this Thursday, will involve an investment of more than 40,000 euros for the bonus with zero quota for water, garbage and sanitation, which will be joined by direct aid for businessmen and that will be they could apply in the next few days to take effect as soon as possible.Alejandra Martínez, head of the Department of Finance, wanted to highlight the importance of the sector in the economy of the municipality both directly with all the families that depend on these establishments and indirectly to the rest of the business fabric.
"We are not going to leave anyone behind and that is why from the first moment after this second closure was decreed, we have wanted to support businessmen in the sector with new aids that join others already in place, such as the complete discount on the occupancy rate of the public thoroughfare throughout the year, "he says.Since the beginning of the pandemic to date, the Mula City Council has invested more than 500,000 euros in aid to companies in the municipality, including current ones, to help alleviate the serious situation that is derived from the health crisis.
