It was born as a tool that will allow you to request help anonymously if you are a victim of gender violence and to provide ideas and suggestions to work against this type of violenceThe Department of Equality concludes the acts for the International Day against Gender Violence with the presentation of the Violet Mailbox, a new tool available to all citizens to be able to communicate any aspect related to gender violence, whether it is being affected or to provide any suggestions in this regard.The Councilor for Women and Equality, Pilar Gil, has been in charge of presenting the Violeta Mailbox together with the CAVI technicians, Mamen Maíquez, a social worker and Encarna Guillen, legal advisor.The Violeta Mailbox is established through the email 'buzonvioleta@aytomula.es'.
In it it will be possible to communicate if they are suffering mistreatment, abuse, miromachism or gender discrimination.
You can also report if you know someone who is suffering from it, if sexist abuse or aggression is suffered by the networks, if there is no equality at home, work or any service that is used.
The mailbox is open for any suggestion to improve services or if any information or training on gender violence is needed.The objective of the Violeta Mailbox is to help while making sexist violence situations visible both in the public and private spheres.For Pilar Gil, this new mailbox “is established as one more tool to continue fighting against gender violence since, not only is it a channel where any victim can request help anonymously, but it will also collect proposals to continue working on stop this type of violence that mainly affects women ”.
Thus, he encouraged to make use of this mailbox, "not only on these dates but throughout the year to give visibility to this social scourge."Along with this new tool, victims of violence in the municipality of Mula can also receive assistance through the telephone numbers 016 (Attention to Victims of Maltreatment by Gender Violence), 112 (Portal for Equality and Prevention of Gender Violence of Murcia Region, 968 66 13 52 (Single telephone number for prior appointment at CAVI), 968 66 00 00 (Local Police of Mula) and 091 (National Police).
