The Iberian Art Museum Cigarralejo Mula, which is part of the Regional Network of Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesman, today inaugurated the exhibition 'Future Imperfect' the Cantabrian artist Pablo Burgos Garcia.
The exhibition includes some thirty pieces, combines painting, printmaking and sculpture.
The creator reflects a reality in which the ancient world, humanist culture and critical thinking seem to be increasingly relegated part for many, according to the complaint, from the secondary or accessory.
Burgos warns that the disappearance of the images of the past is not part of the renovation of the future but the past loss of a part of history that is fundamental to understanding the present.
It denying that past, ignoring or disowning our present becomes a fragile object that is held with unstable bases.
Etchings, mixed media works and large paintings exhibited in Mula reflect faces of Hellenistic and Iberian sculptures, such as the 'Lady of Elche' plasma images that in some cases disappear, melting into the works themselves to be almost unnoticeable.
The exhibition is completed with a series of sculptures that immortalize faces from the past.
Pablo Burgos García (Torrelavega, 1968) has a multidisciplinary education.
Master in Artistic Production, Diploma of Advanced Studies in Drawing, Fine Arts graduate diploma in Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art and titled Antique, has also studied at the Central Saint Martins College of Art & Desing London.
Currently, Burgos is co-director of the Municipal School of Arts in Torrelavega (Cantabria), where he teaches drawing the natural and artistic project.
In addition, it is combining teaching with performing exposures.
