This initiative has a grant from the SEF of 195,700 euros
A total of 18 young people from Mula Youth Guarantee beneficiaries are preparing from the month of March 2016 to work in the cleaning sector through a mixed program of employment and training for a year.
This initiative, which combines training with paid work, has a grant of 195,700 euros from the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, through the SEF, and with the co-financing of the European Social Fund.
After completing the three months of theoretical training included in the program, these young people under the age of 30 have been hired for nine months by the City of Mula to perform cleaning and maintenance of streets and public spaces in the old town .
In particular, these paid jobs in support of the municipal cleaning service constitute the practical part of this training action.
After completing these months of paid professional experience, students will obtain a professional certificate of cleanliness in open spaces and Industrial facilities which, in addition to accrediting their competences in this professional branch, will allow them to work, for example, as road cleaning workers and laborers Of waste collection, both in town halls and in companies of the sector.
SEF's Director General, Alejandro Zamora, visited the participants in this initiative and underlined "the great usefulness of the mixed training and employment programs for the promotion of youth employment, as they offer quality training adjusted to the real needs of Municipalities where the participants reside, in addition to providing them with an employment opportunity. "
Mula will develop two SEF courses
On the other hand, the SEF has also granted the City of Mula a grant of 24,000 euros for the provision of a course on 'Record and processing of data and documents', aimed at the unemployed in general.
Also, it will develop a course of 'Cleaning of surfaces and furniture of buildings and premises', for young enrolled in Youth Guarantee, with an endowment of 8,400 euros.
Zamora met with the mayor of Mula, Juan Jesus Moreno, to address joint actions that serve to improve the employment options of the 1,268 unemployed in the municipality.
In addition, the meeting analyzed the positive evolution of employment in the locality, where 217 people found work throughout 2016, bringing unemployment down 18.98 percent.
With regard to job creation, the number of Social Security affiliates has increased by 82 people over the last twelve months, an increase of 1.93 percent.
