The activities are aimed at more than 200 youth in the municipality of between 14 and 16
The departments of Education, Youth and Equality Mula City Council have launched a Sexual Affective Education workshop aimed at young people from 3 º ESO schools in the municipality.
The workshop, which takes place during the months of October and November, will address various aspects of sexual and emotional life and the same will benefit over 220 young people between 14 and 16.
The main objectives of this activity is to expand the concept of sexuality and reflect on the prevailing attitudes in adolescence demystifying misconceptions, and to foster a sense of responsibility, respect and tolerance around the views, experiences and sexual preferences, recognize the role played by communication, intimacy, affection and commitment in interpersonal relationships, meet and learn to properly use birth control methods and work on preventing gender-based violence, among other issues.
This workshop, which will run for four sessions per group, will take place during school hours, within hours of tutoring students.
The centers participating in this activity are the IES Ortega and Rubio and Bank of Los Molinos, and charter schools Santa Clara and Christ Crucified.
This activity aims to differentiate between sex, mainly linked to biology and sexuality, related to how a person lives and feels herself.
The reality that is daily notes that young people are concerned about how sexual practices and, in many cases, are released to them without foresight, without preparation and exposing themselves to serious risks such as sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
The workshop will address the first time, the myths of sex, sexual diversity, as well as contraception and sexually transmitted diseases.
The main drawback of these workshops is to help prevent unwanted pregnancies, unrewarding relationships, sexual problems in adult life, facilitates a better understanding of personal and work by the introduction of more equal and friendly relations, are promoted healthy habits and behaviors prevention to avoid HIV transmission, prevention of sexual abuse, domestic violence ....
