The actions performed encompass internal reform of the current Health Centre and the construction of an annex building with an area of 1,795 square meters
The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, visited the renovation and expansion of Mula Health Center, he explained, involves a "significant improvement" for the residents of this county, and that will affect "substantially" on the care quality by expanding the areas of Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency, Care for Women, Mental Health, Physiotherapy and Dentistry.
Palacios during the visit was accompanied by the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, and stated that "the Ministry of Health has undertaken an ambitious investment of 2,787,136 euros in this action with the objective of bringing the center to the needs of residents the locality. "
The works in the Health Center began in the last quarter of 2010 and completion is scheduled for January 2012 because, according to the minister stated, "is a major work and should work with the utmost caution so as not to hinder the work care professionals or disturb our patients. "
The project is divided into two phases and currently is running first, which includes expanding the center with the construction of a new building of 1,795 square feet will expire next September.

The reform and expansion activities said the minister are "essential" because it is a center built in June 1992 and now must adjust to the needs of a municipality, such as Mule, which has more than 17,000 inhabitants.
Health Center Expansion
The extension of Mula Health Center is the creation of 12 Family Medicine consultations, four of Pediatrics, 10, Adult Nursing, Child Nursing three, one of Dentistry, a dental hygienist and two multipurpose consultations.
In addition, this building will have treatment area comprising treatment room, minor surgery and extractions, among others.
