Mula becomes reference of archaeological tourism becoming part of "The Network of Roman Villas of Hispania" (24/01/2014)

The Roman site of "The Villaricos" is part of this national network of nine archaeological jewels and born with the goal of being a network of cooperation in the fields of research, conservation and promotion of a unique tourism product.

The Villa Romana Los Villaricos, located four kilometers from Mula, can be visited since 2009.

The Network is open to future additions, consists of nine Roman villas in which over recent years have undertaken significant actions of scientific excavation, conservation and restoration.

The presentation ceremony took place last Thursday at the Stand of Andalusia, and attended by institutional representatives from the municipalities of Almedinilla, Gijón, Mula and Puente Genil, of the provinces of Palencia, and Valladolid Teruel and Aragon and the Governments of Navarra.
