The twentieth edition of the Spanish Film Week and XV National Contest Mula Short pay tribute to the deceased Vicente Aranda and Fernando Fernan Gomez and Rafael Azcona, who will receive a special distinction posthumously in the festival with screenings of some of its tapes.
The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today introduced the film event organized by the Film Club Second Chomón Mula and to be held from 25 to 31 May.
The presentation was also attended by the director of the Film Week, Martín del Toro, Councilman Mula City Council President, Salvador José Garrido, director of the Fundación Casa Pintada de Mula, Antonio Parra, and the author of "Twenty years of Spanish cinema in Mula ', Diego Sanchez.
Antonio Martinez highlighted the uniqueness of the festival that "in recent years has become a benchmark in the region."
In this regard, he stressed the quality of the films selected for the competition this year.
To mark the twentieth anniversary of the Spanish Film Week Mula, has edited the book '20 years of Spanish cinema in Mula ', Diego Sanchez, who reviews the history of the event and makes a tour of the 120 films that have been screened in these 20 years.
An exhibition includes posters from all editions.
By sections Panorama Actual, Homenaje a Vicente Aranda, In Memory of Rafael Azcona and Fernando Fernan Gomez and Twenty Years, projected a total of more than 60 films.

As for the national competition short, the organization has received a total of 109 short format 35 mm of which 16 were selected for the contest.
The Closing Ceremony will be held on Saturday 31 May, where there will be a tribute to Vicente Aranda and Awards National Competition Short XV.
The jury award is endowed with 4,000 euros and the audience prize, awarded by the Fundación Casa Pintada de Mula, 2000 euros.
In addition prizes will be awarded recognition without a monetary prize for best director, screenplay, music and main actor and actress.
