The director general of Transport and Ports, Carmen Sandoval, today visited the Association of Senior Mula for delivery of a new vehicle funded by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.

It is a suited nine-seater van to transport people in wheelchairs, which represents an investment of 25,418 euros from the Ministry of Public Works and is being used to transport 16 people from their homes to Day Center

Sandoval said that "from the regional administration is working to support the needs of such associations and, through measures like this, it seeks to collaborate and facilitate their work."

In this regard, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning has given in the call 2007-2008 grants totaling more than 360,000 euros, helped acquire 17 vehicles adapted for non-profit associations or put them at needs of users with mobility problems.
