Luis Leon Sanchez scored this afternoon the 36 th edition of the Mediterranean Tour after finishing 12th in the last stage, Nice - Toulon Mont Faron.

We started building this victory the first day in the team time trial and since then all my colleagues have done an exceptional job and believed in me, every day for allowing me to get the best possible conditions in this last and difficult stage.
We worked hard to bring down a long break and the final climb I gave it all to stand and lose as little time as possible.
