The president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), José Salvador Fuentes Zorita, and the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, visited yesterday the banks of Mula river passing through the Baths of Mula, to verify that the area has recovered the effects of the spill occurred last July by a catastrophic failure of the sewage plant Mula.
The measures taken by the City of Mula and CHS, along with recent rains have been sufficient to return the way he looked this place after matching which was submitted last year by the basin organization.
The project ended in July 2008 with a budget of 150,000 euros including environmental improvements and the installation of socio-recreational areas, as well as monitoring and control that has been under the bed, part of strategy comprehensive recovery CHS Mula River, developed in the municipalities that crosses from its source to the mouth of this tributary of the Segura.
On the other hand, the president of the CHS has visited with local authorities and technicians of the house the storm-affected areas to assess damage and to undertake appropriate restoration work.
