The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Land and Housing, will invest 603,248 euros in the integral rehabilitation of the historic center of Mula, declared a Historic-Artistic National Interest.
The action includes the adequacy of 96 houses, built between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, located in the baroque city expansion, a sector of the old town wedged between the track Boticas Renaissance-Plaza Mayor-San Miguel and the Old Road Round surrounding the town in the seventeenth century (now Avenida Juan Antonio Perea).
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, reported that "the area under action covers a total of 20 blocks whose properties have managed to stay throughout the centuries, thanks to the quality of the construction techniques and finishes the facades, making it one of the most representative of the municipality. "
The project will take place in the historic center of Mula includes the execution of rehabilitation works for the structural elements of buildings, improving accessibility, upgrading common areas and the adequacy of the living conditions of housing.
