The general director of the Youth Institute of Spain (Injuve), an agency under the Ministry of Gender, Gabriel Alconchel, and the mayor of Mula (Murcia), Diego Cervantes, signed Tuesday a cooperation agreement that will create a space Young Building, which will promote culture and art as well as participation and youth associations.

The event was also attended by Secretary of Innovation and New Technology of PSOE and Regional Representative, María González Veracruz, as well as the regional secretary of Socialist Youth, Presentation López.

The City Council, as stated by the mayor, is aware of the lack in the municipality of an infrastructure that enables the gathering of young people and their participation in social and cultural promotion.

A place to promote coexistence and cultural communication among youth.

The objective of the convention signed director of the Institute for Youth, and the mayor of Mula, is forging collaboration between Injuve and the City Council to promote social and professional promotion, cultural, educational and leisure of youth.

Creating Space for Young, will test different areas, staging, thus allowing the representation of plastic arts, music, performing and visual.

Also, the space will be open to proposals for activities submitted by youth associations or other groups of young people.

"Creating Young intended to be a dynamic, creative and open, where the youth is present and actively participating where enhance their artistic and cultural, because it is the foundation for a prepared and committed youth," said general manager Injuve.

This will have facilities for this area Youth Center Youth Building.

The budget for the rehabilitation and equipment amounted to € 180,000.00.

Injuve contribute € 150,000.00 for the rehabilitation and equipping of the Youth Centre, which is a contribution of the City of Mula, being a local municipal property of 1,537 m2, located in Carretera de Caravaca, No. 16.

Furthermore, the municipality will contribute € 30,000.00 to continue the rehabilitation and equipment.

The completion of the works of the Creation Area Youth will have a deadline of December 31, 2010.
