The MARM awarded this project in addition to the works of the Northwest Greenway
The Government Delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has reported that the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM) has awarded the project for upgrading the railway line section Murcia Murcia-Caravaca-Baños de Mula for use as the Natural Way with an investment of 1,791,258.31 euros.
It may be recalled that last December the MARM launched work on the Northwest Greenway in the section that runs between the baths to Mula Mula.
This route is part of the National Natural Ways Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, and which last year received an investment of 548,869 euros from the Plan E, for renewal and improvement.
Among the actions that have taken place in the Mula Greenway are the settlement of pavement along the entire length of the natural way, carrying five rest areas for road users, with the creation of shadow zones by planting pine and mulberry trees, and street furniture such as tables, benches, litter bins and bicycle parkings, among others.
The Government delegate pointed out that "these projects are a major bets in the region to connect alternatively the different populations of a region, in this case the Northwest.
With the improvement and refurbishment works today are not only promoting the safe use of bicycles for recreation or sporting event for all ages, but we promote tourism while walking, something as attractive as healthy. "
