Mula has hosted the regular meeting of the Local Employment Committee of the Region of Murcia for the Eastern and Rio Mula Commission formed by the towns of Abanilla, Albudeite, Campos del Rio Fortuna, Mula and Pliego.
Some of the items in the agenda that were discussed include the following topics:
Status of implementation of the Socio-Economic Studies of the territories and information about the extraordinary call to fund outreach activities and performance indicators resulting from the Socio-Economic Studies.
A diagnosis of current situation and key areas for strategic planning in those Territories with a view to developing individual action plans in each of them.
A study should be completed in June.
Another highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Local Development Gateway Murcia Region, a new tool that is accessed through Serfcarm.es and where the user can find important information of interest relating to employment, aid, news and local development.
Also, the committee chairman and CEO of Sef, Ginés Martínez González, announced an order, which was presented recently pioneered the state level, regarding new measures to promote youth employment.
This measure refers to assistance to be given to companies in Murcia to hire for at least a year to young people between 16 and 21 years under a training contract.
This is a contract of apprenticeship model for young people to learn a trade, enter into an undertaking to work and acquire skills that enable them to become professionals.
The mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, was very interested in this new proposal in addition to giving young people closer to their first job and started professionally in a trade, will be guaranteed work for at least a year.
The next meeting of the Local Employment Committee for the Eastern and Rio Mula be held before next summer.
